Get Your Spoons, Tastebuds Ready: Sample Delicious Recipes At Ridgefield Chili Festival

Want to chill out with some chili this weekend? Grab your tickets for the 2019 Ridgefield Chili Festival, scheduled for Sunday, March 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ridgefield Recreation Center (195 Danbury Road).

This event is a fundraiser for the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee and allows guests of all ages to sample several varieties of chili crafted by both professional chefs and local amateurs.

Joining the event will be US Senator Richard Blumenthal, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz and State Senator Will Haskell, who will listen to concerns, provide feedback and share insights on the latest legislative developments.

Local vendors and restaurants participating in the chili cook-off include:

  • Southwest Cafe
  • Bareburger
  • Baja Cocina / 850 Degrees Wood Fired Restaurant
  • Milillo Farms
  • Early Bird Cafe
  • The Ancient Mariner
  • Zawack Shack

In total, 15 different varieties of chili are available for sampling, and guests will vote for their favorites. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample delectable desserts from The Cake Box and Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe. Needless to say, guests should plan to arrive with a hearty appetite.
